Newly Added To Warped Tour

VAMPIRES EVERWHERE! They are the newly added  band to Vans Warped Tour. I thought I couldn't be any more excited after I saw Sleeping With Sirens on the list. I was very wrong. I LOVE VAMPIRES EVERYWHERE! I will definately be in the front row for this concert!
I am also very excited to meet them, yes, I am going to do everything I can to meet them! Michael Vampire, the vocals, is such a great singer and also very adorable! I hope he's friendly and ready to take a bunch of pictures with me!
This summer will be amazing... :)

No Ugly Sweaters This Year!

I refuse to recieve another hideous Christmas sweater, hat, or useless item from my grandma this year. I'm very greatful that my grandma cares about me so much that she would spend the time to look for all this stuff, but if I don't use it, it's a waste of her time. So, this year I'm going to cheat the system!
I told my grandma and dad to take me shopping some day before Christmas. This way, I can spend time with them! I trust my mom with my presents, my mother and I, we get eachother. If I didn't let my mom shop for me, where would the suprise of Christmas be?

I'm extremely excited to get more bows from my grandma. Yes, I love bows, Hello Kitty, and Nightmare Before Christmas. This is the type of stuff I'll pick out, and am looking forward to it.

Dumbest Pet Peeve Ever...

I am a pretty tolerable person. I don't get annoyed, angry, or irritated very easily, but have this pet peeve that for some reason gets me beyond angry. It's to the point where I won't speak to someone for days.
Alesana<3
I do have other pet peeves, even ones that make me more mad, but to me, this is a pretty dumb reason to get mad; I just can't help myself.
Don't talk smack about my music. I have an aquired taste in music, I love when they scream in songs, it makes the song more exciting to me and the concerts the best experience in the world. If people say something bad about any of the bands I listen to, and esspecially my favorite bands, I go insane. After you express your opinion to me more than once, I explode.  Even though I may not be "scary" because of my height, I get my point across.
I make an effort not to say how bad I think a band is that someone else likes. I try not offend them. I ask the same in return. I take music very serious, music has gotten me through more than a friend could ever do. Music comforts me more than any human or pet could do.
I really wish this did not bother me as much as it does, but that is how I am, I'm sorry if you're ever the victim of my rant, but you shouldn't have said anything about my music...You have been warned.

I.AM.OBSESSED. (Part 2)

This guy is a real cutie! ;)
Sumo Wrestlers, are a little chubby, but adorable! The way I look at it, is that they have a pretty cool life. Other than having to wrestle with people and force Japanese citizens on to crowded trains, all they seem to do is eat for training. This training is nothing like what our wrestlers have to do in the United States. In the United States, they have to train very hard and it is very time consuming.  I think I would like to be a sumo wrestler one day, I better start eating now....

I.AM.OBSESSED. (Part 1)

THIS IS ADORABLE

I am obsessed. My obsession is of cute Eskimos, sumo wrestlers, and just cute little Asian babies. My life goal is to adopt an Eskimo. If this is not possible I will just have to steal one from it's village! I will steal a baby girl and name her Nanook, which is the cutest possible Eskimo name there is! The following pictures are of me and my friends Eskimo children!

Nanook is so cute!

AWWWW!

I would love to live in one of those!

Eskimo lives seems so cool too. They get to hangout and work with reindeer all day, and have you seen those houses they live in? Talk about amazing! Who has time to build an igloo house? I'm sure no one in the United States is doing any nonsense like that. We rely on technology, while they are out there freezing to death!

Just chilling with a reindeer
Finally, the Eskimo culture is very focused on family. They spend everyday together, helping each other survive. I'm sure they don't always enjoy or appreciate it, but they are simply living their lives in the moment without technology, just with family.

Epic Meal Time This Weekend

I have the best friends in the world. I love them all and they are always there for me no matter what. The fun part about my group of friends is that we keep adding more and more people to it. We all take turns having each other over every Friday night and we just hangout for about 4 or 5 hours, just making our own fun.  This weekend it is my turn to have them over at my house and I have very exciting things planned! If you have ever seen the You Tube sensation Epic Meal Time, you will know what I'm talking about when I say we are having an Epic Meal Time Party! Our "Epic Meal" will be cheese, on top a pound or two of bacon, on top of some delicious pizza rolls, and of course some chocolate bacon on the side! This meal will be topped off with amazing juice boxes (the groups favorite) and Kylie Martino's chocolate milk!

Max Mills Will Be Missed, But Not Forgotten

Max and I
Isn't he a charmer? ;D
Max Mills is possibly the coolest person ever. I feel so strongly about him because I look up to him! It's pretty cliche sounding, that statement is said too often, but this time I really do mean it.
I met him in marching band and he seemed really tough and I was so intimidated, I refused to make eye contact and the only means of "looking up" to him was because he was tall.
Later in the season, I randomly started to talk to him and his "tough exterior" started to seem all mooshy! It was great, he was 12 year old trapped in a 18 year old's body! He was funny and he gave out compliments like it was candy. This was just the friend I needed and his jokes were never put downs towards other people, he was just a true comedian!
Now "looking up" to him was easy, the more I got to know him, the more I absolutely adored! He was the nicest of all the Seniors I met, not saying there wasn't any other friendly ones, but  Max was the most welcoming of all. He was always so focused while on the marching band field and that gave me motivation to become a better marcher and person.  From what I witnessed, he was never rude to anyone, no matter what grade, he was constantly smiling and in a good mood, ready to brighten up someone else's day.

On the last night of band, when everyone gathered around Mr. Harmon to listen to his speech, there was already people with watered eyes, but when we finally realized this was the last night as a family, everyone's face was flooded in tears. I was hugging everyone in sight, saying how much I'd miss them, and then I saw Max. My friend Celeste and I talked to him everyday for the past 6 months, and now we could never do that again. We were heartbroken. That is when I started crying.
We hugged so tight and I will never forget what he told me.
"I know I've only known you for a year, but you were the best and I'm going to miss you", that practically made my life.

I honestly love Max to death, and I do not say this alot. He has changed me as a person, for the better. He made me more motivated and determined in life. Before I was just going with the flow, that is no more.
So, I thank him from the bottom of my heart, he will not be forgotten!

The Muppets Are Back!

THE MUPPETS ARE BACK AND I AM SO EXCITED! The Muppets were my childhood so as soon as I heard of this new movie feature these friendly creature, I had to see it at once.  I saw it Saturday afternoon of this break with 7 other friends I dragged to the theatre.  It was quite a scare when some of my friends came in late and the ticket booth lady said they were sold out! So whats a group of kids to do? We, like any normal people, told the manager, and as luck would have it, they had 17 more tickets left! I thought they were sold out...
When we got into the showing room, the lights were already dark and we didn't want to stumble around in the dark so we took the front row, which is very painful for your neck.
The movie itself was fantastic, other than the singing every 20 seconds, but they had wonderful singing voices so it wasn't all bad!
Many celebrities were in the movie such as; Jack Black, Selena Gomez, Whoopi Goldberg, and my favorite; Zach Galifianakis! He played "Hobo Joe"!
I thought the movie was very cute, with a few cheesy jokes that got a couple giggles out of me!

From a Blonde to a Brunette

This weekend my mother decided I needed a haircut and color.  She said  my hair was very unhealthy and damaged from my constant straightening (yes, my hair is naturally curly) and my bleached blonde hair.  Her decision was to re-dye my hair a light brunette color so my hair wouldn't be as stressed.
I absolutely hate my new hair color with all of my being. It's not that big of a deal because I will dye it back to the blonde, but I still have to have this color for about a month or two. That really irritates me.
I miss my blonde hair!

I Will Be Attending....

Avenged Sevenfold
I have been to alot of concerts, well..compared to most people I guess. I missed the Blessthefall concert and it broke my heart! So I will hopefully be attending the "Buried Alive" concert! Avenged Sevenfold and Asking Alexandria will be performing. Come on. If you don't like one of those fabulous bands..well....
I listen to them everyday and I've seen both in concert, but not one right after the other!
I really hope I can go!

A "WTF" Kinda Moment

This year for marching band we did "Somewhere In Time". This was based off an old, and in my opinion, boring movie, but when you saw us marching the show, it was so magical. My favorite part was the ending, it was so pretty.
When we performed our show at State Finals, we came in 3rd out of around 100 bands and our score was a little over 90. In marching lingo, this is impressive and Lake Central has never done this well its history.
We came back the following week and waited intently for our name to be called for Finals, the best you can do. As a band, Lake Central has only gone to Semi-Finals, so this would have been a huge accomplishment and as the "newbees", we wanted to see the upperclassmen go to Finals.
Unfortunately, we got screwed. In one week, our score went from a 90 to an 82, was this a mistake? No. Our name was never called and we were sent packing.  Everyone was in tears, but the memories of "Somewhere In Time" will never be taken away from us!

I.hate.skirts.

This weekend I plan to go to the mall Saturday to get some skirts! I am more of a jean/legging person, but my mother insists I'm not girly enough, or I need a little more pizazz in my wardrobe. Since I now have a solid B in math, which is astonishing because I am just the worst in math, my mother will have to yeild to what skirt I want otherwise she would pick out the thing on the clearence rack with the ugly half-knitted flowers....

This is the lovely skirt I bought!

Applebees...the Worst Resturaunt in the World

After the band homecoming, we all decided to head to Applebees because Chili's was closed at 11:00 at night...who knew?
Unfortunately Applebees was open and when I opened the menu, absolutely nothing apealed to me.  Maybe the burgers would have been okay, but their funky names for their food makes me not want to order them, let alone eat them! I decided to munch on the fry basket, which they had a weird salt/pepper combination to. Their soda tasted out of the ordinary and service was just horrible!
I officially hate Applebees.

Dance Your Pants Off!

Since the marching band participants were unable to attend the actual homecoming dance, October 27, we had our own.  We could invite a "plus one" or a non-band person, so the dance was flooded with people! I chose to take my friend Nick and he was sweet enough to buy me a corsage amd bought a tie that matched my aqua blue dress.  Before the dance, I had my best friend in band come over with her date and we all took cute pictures in preparation for the long night ahead of us.  When we arrived at the dance, we were a little early, so we snatched a great seat! The walls were laced with beautiful decorations and balloons were everywhere.  The music pounded headaches into our heads, and even though the music selection wasn't the greatest, we had the best time!

Happy Birthday to Me!

My birthday could have been better if there wasn't marching band, but since there was, at least I was with people I absolutely adore! Before I left for band, I had a quick moment to open a gift, which my parents bought me a new ipod. It was a wonderful suprise and I had been longing for another one! Weeks earlier, my dad took me to the mall for some shoes I wanted so bad! They were located at Hot Topic and they had Hello Kitty all over them! I'm obsessed with Hello Kitty, she's so cute and reminds me of my childhood.  I could hardly take them off!
When I came back to school from band, 2:00 Sunday morning, my parents were waiting for me in the car with a cake!
It was a great birthday!

These are the amazing shoes I recieved for my birthday! I'm in love with them...Hello Kitty is just adorable. End of Story!

A Tribute To Jennifer

I just wanted to make a special blog post for my best friend, Jennifer! She has been standing by my side since 4th grade and anyone who sticks around me for that long, is definately a true friend. I know I can be a bit moody, and somewhat of a "handful". She always knows how to cheer me up when I'm down and we have been through a lot the past couple of years. Jennifer, knows everything about me and she is one of the very few people I actually trust. I love her to death and I know nothing could ever come between us.
jumping pictures are always a classic :)
this probably explains our friendship :D

This won't end well... ;)

Why So Arrogant?

Why do people become so arrogant when they hit fame? After the long road to become famous is over, most of the rock stars are left with a bottle of rum and lonliness. I assume that this is the reason they become so bitter and arrogant, because after they hit fame, that is what they have to show for in life, if they are proud of it or not.
I met a few "celebrities", some made me lose respect, some made me gain.  For example: I went to Vans Warped Tour this summer, and met Andy Sixx of the Black Veil BridesBlack Veil Brides are a popular "screamo" or "heavy metal" band mostly teenagers like.    I waited in line for more than 2 hours just to see them sign a $3.00 poster and for them to say "hi" and "thanks" after i complimented them.  I assumed (silly me) that i would at least be able to snap a picture of him and I together, but when i asked it was a big...fat..NO! What makes them so special? They can scream into a microphone....big whoop, my 3 year old cousin does that without pay!

Andy Sixx

On the other hand, I was privledged enough to meet Craig Mabbitt and Max Green of Escape The Fate, and they were the sweetest, most humble people I have ever met.  They seemed genuinely happy I came to see them, instead of annoyed.  They let me take as many pictures as i wanted with them, and had a real conversation. It was one of the greatest things, and they have gained so much respect from me!

Just An Average Day

I would love to have my first blog to be an auto-"blog"ography about myself.  My full name is Nicole Dawn Pelc, but I like to go by Nikki.  I choose the name Nikki because I believe it matches my personality better than Nicole does.  I think of myself as a quirky person who just likes to have fun. Anger is a waste of time in my eyes so I do not become angered very easily.  As of right now, my life is all marching band, all the time.  Us "bandos" as we are called by our director, has us imprisoned. Virtually, the only free day we have is on Sunday, and he still prefers us to be practicing our instruments.  After a while, you get used to it and your friends become your family. They are there no matter what. Marching band helps build character and I am thankful for the determination it has given me.  That is why I am joining next year and every year until I'm a Senior.
Part of the Family I love so much!
We had so much fun at the Homecoming game!
