The Final Stretch

This is the final stretch of school and everyone is looking forward to the end. I have been ready for summer since winter like everyone else.

For the first week off, I plan to go to head to the beach and stay there. I didn't make a trip out there last summer so I have plenty of catching up to do before Marching Band.
Turkey Run is where I am headed for Memorial Day weekend to start the summer off right. I will be with my friends Adam and Amelia and they are so fun to be around.
Please let the next four days go by a little faster!

Piercings

I really want to get my nose pierced, belly-button pierced, and I my ears gauged! I think it's so cute! I should start with getting my ears pierced though...

Irony

Since I have been reading Hiroshima in English, when I saw this picture, it reminded me of it. The book, if you don't already know, is about the lives of 6 people after the explosion. In my class, someone brought up a point and said "We gave them warnings, they knew we were going to drop a bomb. They could have evacuated." My teacher replied with saying that the Japanese gave us warnings before bombing Pearl Harbor, does that still make it right? I believe it's not. When I see this picture with an atomic blast, I think of our governments trying to make peace with war. War is not the solution. Our world will never find peace with the constant violence.

SO True

This picture spoke to me. It's so true.

Hello Beautiful, Austin Carlile

I really do have an unhealthy obsession with Of Mice & Men and Austin Carlile...but what can I do? They are just so amazing. Austin is perfection. I'm so glad I saw them at Warped last year, and now again this year!

Escape The Fate Concert

Xander Bourgeois with Gabby and I :')
I went to an Escape The Fate concert a few weeks ago, and it was one of the best concerts I have ever gone to; even though it was not held at my favorite venue, which is the Vic Theatre. It was held at the House of Blues and it was general admission so naturally my whole group of friends and I picked the floor. That's where all the fun happens.
The lights started to dim and there stood Xander Bourgeois, lead singer of Secrets. The crowd went wild and so the show began. He kept asking for circle pits. That is when my friend Brittany and I started working our way up to the front. Everytime one began, more people left their spots. So we took them. One cirlce pit didn't end well because Brittany lost her footing and fell down. I couldn't get anyone to move to let her get up because the pit was starting to get really aggressive. We did finally get her up, but as a result of her being down there so long, she was kicked in the face a few times.
By the time the band Mest was over, we were up infront for The Word Alive. They are one of my favorite bands and they sound really good live. They were very energetic and Telle, the lead singer, took a picture of the crowd, later to post it on Instagram. I found out I was in the picture!
The next band on was Attack Attack! they were probably the best performance of the night. The crowd was really into it and EVERYONE on the floor was mosh pitting. My favorite song they performed was Smokahontas, in that song, Caleb Shomo had the best screams.
Finally, Escape The Fate was on and it was the greatest moment ever. Craig jumped into the crowd from the balcony and went into the crowd right by me; I held his hand for a couple mintues. The coolest part was everyone singing along and enjoying themselves. The people there are just great.
